Relief for

Spinal discography is an injection technique used to evaluate patients who have not responded to non-surgical treatments for their back pain. Usually a discogram is indicated when a variety of spinal diagnostic procedures have not pinpointed pain origin.

The spinal discogram is designed to induce pain in a sensitive disc. Local anesthesia is applied and a needle is inserted into the center of each disc. A sterile liquid is then injected into each disc and you must report whether you feel pressure, pain or no pain. Pictures are taken with the fluoroscopic unit and a post-discogram CT is obtained to document the internal architecture of the disc.

Spinal Compression Fracture, Discogenic,Back Pain, SI Joint Dysfunction, and more.
